By request, here’s my monitor setup:

In an effort to make things better, I’ll be needing to take the Teamspeak server down to upgrade the operating system and insall a new bag of tricks. So if you get booted for a short time in the evening, don’t flame me.

I want to get it done before the weekend so that everyone will have access during the times that more people are on. (Fri-Sat-Sun)

On tap for the upgrade:

• Linux Ubuntu
• Teamspeak 3 (Teamspeak 2 will remain until TS3 server is tested)

Can’t wait to show you guys the new options for the new wesite as well… It’s gonna be so much better…

Trying to get some additional interaction here leading up to the new site and Teamspeak… They appear at random in the right side of this page, so hit refresh to change them up…and submit your answers… as I am wondering about 64bit Vista/Windows7 as well as DX10…

The position of all the stuff on the right of this page will be rearranged with the new site design, don’t worry… It will be much more easy to read/navigate/interact…

Ummmm….. no way this one will ever become part of our roster. Definitely aimed at younger players, but just as frustrating as the trusty Battlefield franchise. You play 3rd person view, which makes it tough to do anything… fly, drive a tank, aim, etc. I’ve only played for two hours or so, and tried 3 classes in that time. You also have to buy alot of the cool stuff, unless you want to spend countless hours ranking up. Even then, you lose the item after time… There’s also these freakshow costumes people can buy… like pirates, ninjas in white, etc. Way too “kidsky” for me… give me realism…

I was going to buy a 17″ flatpanel to add to my 19″ for my Mac setup, but needed a splitterbox for $250 for dual monitor. Didn’t make sense to buy all that when I could just get this 26″.

Got mine in Friday, and although I had to RMA because of defect in the screen, it was an AWESOME picture and saturation/brightness. Can’t wait to game on it.

I have my new Fiber network install scheduled for NEXT Sunday, (Sept. 13th) so the Teamspeak server will be down, probably for the entire day or more.

There will be a new IP address, and I am also looking to do some upgrades to the little Linux server, such as better/quieter cooling fans, etc.

For those within the ATT service areas, Fiber is becoming more and more accessible, so you may want to check your region [ HERE ]. The cost for me was only 5?Ǭ¢ more than 6mbps DSL for the ‘elite’ Fiber @ 6mbps, but I bumped up $10 and will have a 10mbps down/1.5mbps up pipe now. The service is also bundled with TV, and the receiver can ‘slingbox’ TV stations to your computers in the house. (watch TV without being in the living room)

I will let you know more about the service once I have it, but for me, I can save $39/mo by dropping the landline I had for the DSL, making it actually cheaper than the setup I had before. (plus some crazy bandwidth?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†:twisted:?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ†?Ǭ† )
