Skirmish - Clueless
Skirmish
Clueless

I stand corrected. (I think all the pissing and moaning about not having a PC demo brought this, however. YAY whiners!!!)

From http://community.kaosstudios.com:

Many people have been asking and we’re happy to announce that we will be releasing a PC multiplayer demo of Frontlines: Fuel of War on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 1pm EST.

This PC multiplayer demo will be based on the final version of the game and feature an all-new map “Invasion” in addition to the final “Oilfield” map.

We will be posting more information on how to get the demo as well as a list of fixes and changes that have been made since the last beta patch, as we get closer to the release of the demo.

So perhaps there IS hope for a replacement to BF2 for us…

Looks like PC users are going to get the shaft on this one…

Kaos|Mitch — “A PC demo? No.”

Pisses me off that we are not going to see a demo for the PC of this, if nothing else to show that the bugs, glitches and issues discussed AT LENGTH in the forums have been FIXED. Here’s another developer that’s basically expecting us to shuck out our cash for a title, and “trust” them in that the issues found in the Beta have truly been resolved.

I for one say “#@%& THAT!”

We have shelled out too much $$$ for half-assed crap that didn’t go anywhere, and was NOTHING like what was to be expected. (thus violating our ‘trust’ that things were fixed) Without proof that the bugs/glitches/issues have truly been resolved, I will not be buying this title, because I know damn well that it will be the same sloppy Beta build that we have been playing since BEFORE CHRISTMAS FFS.

Quite disappointed that they haven’t released any major patches or builds for the Beta for this, given that the release is next month. Been playing the same 0.3.x build since before Christmas, and I’m quite concerned that this game will not be fixed in time.

I’m really starting to lose faith that game developers can develop a “current”, visually intense, team/squad-based replacement to the BF series, which is a sad realization. I miss the squadplay, large scale maps and all around late night fun we used to have…

If this is what the other 4 maps are like for Frontlines, then I am psyched!!! (granted that they fix the bullet lag, hitboxes and other issues)
