Here’s some CRYSIS Demo movieclips I captured so you guys can see the details…

Skirmish - Clueless
Skirmish
Clueless

I know it’s difficult to see alot of the detail in these small clips, but it gives you an idea of how crazy the details are in game. I realize that some people’s systems won’t be able to play at these levels, or may not even be able to play the game at all, but for those people, I’d like to think that we are here to help you get the best deals and advice on upgrades.

From what I am seeing, many people are not using their existing hardware to it’s potential, relying on the standard “let the system decide” settings, which only makes you miss out on alot. 90% of the time utilize those settings only a small fraction of your systems potential, and may even result in damage/premature failure of your hardware. (as in my case, where my mobo under-volted my memory chips)

As an example: Hopefully the help I gave to NavyKnight the other night improved his experience with Battlefield… We nearly doubled his resolution and game detail, and his rig actually got almost DOUBLE the FPS at the higher settings.

I’m happy to help walk anyone through finding out what you have, and how to get the most of it without burning it up.

Just hit me up on TS. I have also started a new “PAGE” posting (look to the right side) on setting up your rig properly, customizing settings, overclocking, cooling, etc. Like I said… many are not using their machines to anywhere near their potential, or a few simple steps can dramatically improve your game experience.

But here are the clips. (Yes, I am working on being able to play more than once.)

Character Shadow cast to ground:

The water beading off your goggles when you come up:

The detail in the water reflections/refraction:

The explosion of a vehicle with shockwave ripple:

The detail in the underbrush/terrain:

The shockwave ripple coming off of a grenade:

And even a different terrain detail shot:

Naaahhh man… you had a decent rig from what I remember, and although maybe not quite to this detail, I am sure we could get yours cranking enough to make it enjoyable and eye-pleasing…
