Like BF2, COD4 will have a class system with different load-outs for each. However, after you reach a certain rank, you will be able to create custom load-outs:
Here’s a list of all the weapon choices from the beta (there will probably be more in the retail):
There will be 3 classes of perks, and you will be able to load up one perk from each class.

These are the perk lists from the beta – there will be more in the retail version.
