    I’ve had problems installing this – says I need to sync my shaders. WTF?

    SEAL: yeah.. I had the same problems, and they come from when you install to a different path than C:

    Go to the properties on the shortcut, and in the “start in” line, remove the /mods/firstStrike off of the end, so the “start in” directory looks like:

    “[drive letter]\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\” and not

    “[drive letter]\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Battlefield 2142\mods\FirstStrike”

    Even if you have it installed to C:, try changing the “start in” as above.

    Once I did this, everything worked fine. (other than the game locking up with looping sound, but thats my piece of shit Audigy2 ZS card”
