At long last, we are delighted to confirm the impending Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Public Beta. The ETQW Closed Beta has been going extremely well and yielding excellent results. We want to give more people the opportunity to give us feedback on the game so we?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢re going to open a Public Beta with 60,000 slots available. This way we?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ll be able to test many more combinations of hardware, RAM, CPU, graphics card, drivers etc. than we?¢‚Ǩ‚Ñ¢ve been able to ourselves, and also get a better idea of how the game plays for the general gaming public.

It requires a Fileplanet account which is FREE, [ LINK ] and I have a support ticket in to confirm whether you must pay for a subscription in order to be a part of this 60,000 key BETA. 60,000 keys should be more than enough to allow ALOT of people to get in to it. It IS stating that you people with free accounts will have access, but I emailed support to confirm this, so I will let you know.

From what I read, it goes like this. Right now, they gave out keys to very select few fileplanet subscribers + NEW fileplanet yearly subscribers. In the middle of the week, they will setup a page for us to get our keys. They are going to be splitting the 60k keys down the middle, 30k to paid subs, 30k to free accounts.

So… be sure to at least go sign up for a FREE account, and then visit this [ LINK ] to sign up for their BETA notices, which includes ET:QW. If anyone needs a gmail account to sign up for this kind of this stuff, let me know… I have tons of invites to give away.
At least we are getting somewhere… and a glimmer of hope on the horizon for something new…
