Teamspeak server issues

Clueless

Sorry for all the hassles lately with the Teamspeak server guys. I still have not figured out whether the problem is Bellsouth or something else. (hacker attacks?) Even though I realize it’s against Bellsouth’s TOS to serve something from a home system, TS uses such very small amount of bandwidth that it shouldn’t matter. Hell…… I use more bandwidth in a day of sending joke images via email than TS uses in a month of being online.

But the server has been reset to the default ports, etc. and the IP address has NOT changed, so please update your bookmarks with the normal 8767 port.

Typically, if the homepage shows the server status, then it is running fine, and you should have no problems accessing it. Although we did have issues connecting DonRamonian last night, even though the homepage showed the server active and there were active players in TS. That was the reason for the port switching, etc. (I also need to post some articles here about setting up your firewalls/routers, because clearly there are issues which are definitely impacting some people’s gameplay/getting booted)

But again, sorry for the hassles, and I am still trying to find the source of the problem. If anyone has any thoughts, please feel free to post them here.

All the work is greatly appreciated Skirmish. No need to apologize though; if a few interruptions is what we have to put up with, it is worth it to have this level of quality!
